SDM’2017 International Conference on Sustainable Design and Manufacturing Bologna, Italy

We are pleased to announce the SDM17 taking place in Bologna, Italy, from April 26 to April 28 ,2017, organized by KES International in partnership with Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.

SDM-2017 will consist of keynote talks, oral presentation, invited sessions and workshops. It will cover the theory and applications of sustainable design and manufacturing and related areas, whilst providing an excellent platform for the presentation and discussion of new data and concepts, leading to knowledge exchange and generation of new ideas.

 

The conference proceedings are planned to be published by Springer (subject to confirmation) as a book chapters in a volume of the KES Smart Innovation Systems and Technologies series, submitted for indexing in Scopus and Thomson-Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and the Web of Science.

 

An invited special session will focus on the topics of Sustainability in Industrial plant design & management: application & experiences from practice. The aim of the session is to bring together experiences related to the sustainable design and management of industrial plants, production and distribution systems. The focus is on applications and win-win experiences from practice. Outcomes from past and in-progress research and technology transfer projects are expected as fair and replicable examples of solutions leading to significant improvements in products and operations toward the achievement of sustainability goals.
